So here we are, summer's almost over and I haven't posted anything. To my defense, my camera is out of working order and we don't know what has happened. I do have some pictures from Brynlee's Kindergarten program and etc that I still need to get uploaded to the computer. So maybe in the days to come, before school starts, I will get them on and can do a post. So sorry for the lack of activity!!!!

Summer Challenge

So my little creative Brynlee love's trying to figure out new things to make with a cereal box. She has made a guitar out of a cereal box and just the other day she was munchin on some Apple Jacks and said "Mom, I think I'll finish these and then make a backpack out of the box." Sure enough not a half hour later she had her duck tape, some scissors, the cereal box and her little creative mind at work. She made the two straps and a hook/handle for her backpack. She then declared she was finished. Well the next morning she decided it needed a little something, so before school she took her pink and purple duck tape and proceeded to cover the whole backpack with duck tape, alternating the colors. Then she asks me if I thought kids would make fun of her if she wore it for her backpack. I told her I didn't know. So she took the plunge and wore it to school that day. We picked up her friends to take them to school and one of them jumped in the car and said "cool backpack Bryn." She got to school and the rest of the kids loved it including the teacher. Within two days one of the boys in her class showed up with his own cereal backpack with a single side strap. Pretty Cool!!! She amazes me with her creativity. Maybe she was meant to be my sisters kid. :0) To bad I won't give her up!!!!!
O. K. so here's the challenge, Dave suggested to Brynlee the other day that she ought to try and write a "book" and call it "101 Ways To Use A Cereal Box" she has the first two, anyone want to throw in some ideas? Just send them our way and I'm sure Bryn will LOVE to try them out!!!!! (P.S. My camera is on the fritz so as soon as it starts working again, I'll post some pics!!)

Happy Birthday Dallin

Today is my big 10 year old's b-day. Happy birthday Dal!!!! Can't believe ten years ago I went to my doctor's appt. with a month left and found out my Preeclampsia (sp) had turned into Ecclampsia and the doc said head on over to the hospital we're having a baby tonight!!!! Guess what? It also happened to be Dave's mom's b-day!!!! She was soooo excited cuz Dallin is her first grandson!!!!!!! They have quite the special bond and he feels pretty special to share his birthday with grandma. I'm so proud of him!!!!! He has been and is such a great kid!!!! Make's me feel soooo good when everyone tells me what a great kid he is. He does great in school and is such a sweetheart. I LOVE YOU Buddy!!!!!!!!!! Happy BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!

Today is Dave's birthday. He's an old man! J/K Just had to wish him a Happy Bday and tell him I love him and that I'm grateful for all he does for our family. He works so hard and is so busy with church stuff too. Hope he has a great day!!!!

Wow I'm slacking again. It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I don't have any new pictures of what we've done, so ya just get a bunch of words, words, words.!!!!!!! It was a pretty busy week, couldn't keep up with anything, especially my housework. Friday we went to the temple and Dal and Brynlee got to stay at Ben and Kim's house for the night. Dave and I came back home and spent Saturday morning cleaning the house and then we went to St. George to pick up the kids and go to Pirate Island for my cousin's husbands b-day party. We spent the afternoon shopping and enjoying the nice weather in St. George.

We've sure had a busy week and one of the main projects for Dallin this week has been finishing up his Science Fair Project. He wasn't allowed to have any parent help etc... so he decided on his topic and with a little prodding from Dave and me, he succeeded in doing quite a nice project. His project was on "Why we end up with red eye in most of our pictures". It was kind of fun to learn about it right along with him. He came home so excited from the judging saying that the judges who viewed his project seemed very interested and he was able to answer their questions. So we went last night to the "Award" ceremony to find out he had taken 3rd Place!!! He was soooooo excited, he couldn't sit down long enough to eat his dinner. What a great end to a busy project!!! Congratulations bud!! I sure am PROUD of you!!!!!!!!

The Birthday Girl!!!!

My baby girl turned 6 today. Happy occasion for her! Sad one for the mom:( Can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Seems like we were just rushing to the hospital yesterday. She is so grown up!!! and very SMART!!! Don't know how Dave and I will keep up with her brother and her. Sure do love her and her fun personality. Happy Happy Firecracker!!!!!!!
